Senior Solicitor

Steven is a Senior Solicitor within the Family Law team at Jones Whyte. He works with individuals and families at some of the most challenging times in their lives and helps guide them with experience and clarity to achieve the outcomes they require. He regularly works with clients who are divorcing or separating and have high-value assets which need to be dealt with. He also works with those who need prenuptial agreements. Steven has experience in helping clients future-proof their assets and anticipating problems which may come up, smoothing them over before they arise. Steven is experienced in helping families who have lost someone, making the process as smooth as possible while attending to the business of winding up estates. He is also experienced in helping families dealing with contentious issues involving children and has helped clients, who have been prevented from seeing children, to regain access. Steven regularly appears in the Sheriff Courts and is a volunteer with Scottish Child Law Centre. He is also a Law Society of Scotland accredited Trauma-Aware solicitor. He is a key part of the successful team which led to Jones Whyte winning both the Scottish Legal Awards and Law Awards of Scotland ‘Firm of the Year’ in 2021 and to its continuing success as one of Scotland’s fastest growing law firms.
