Contentious claim against validity of Will
Chris Holten defended the contentious claim that my late father’s Will was invalid. This was a complex case as it involved a UK Will based on testamentary capacity revoking a German handwritten Will. Under extremely stressful circumstances, Chris handled the case with considerable expertise and advice to help ease and allay my stress. He navigated through the complexity of EU and U.K. laws to a satisfactory position leaving it untenable for the claimant to no longer pursue the case, much to my relief and appreciation.

Chris Holten is an absolute credit to your firm.
I would just like to say that from the moment Chris took my case on he immediately made feel more at ease with the decision I had decided to take in pursuing which I thought I was entitled to, even though many people said I would get nothing. Chris from the outcome was always confident, which was what I needed as at the time I was in a very bad way after losing my Fiance. Chris was and is always polite and would explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. I never at any point put the phone down thinking �I have no idea what he meant� which I am sure can happen with Solicitors not of his calibre. I thank him very much for making me feel I was his only case the whole way through. Nothing was too much trouble. Chris is an absolute credit to your firm and I would have no qualms in recommending him to others should they require his expert advice. Very professional in any aspects of dealing with my case
I first contacted Chris after the death of my partner. Chris is and was very helpful, giving me very clear and usefull information about my case.

Highly recommend Slee Blackwell Solicitors LLP in cases involving inheritance disputes

Wills, Trusts & Probate - Disputed Probate
Slee Blackwell -Chris Holten, Taunton Office, was superb in handling our probate dispute. He was very knowledgeable in his field and very patient in explaining the legal process in laymen’s terms to my family & I. He navigated us through the complex process of contesting probate with a difficult non engaged party. He kept us informed and remained fully engaged with my family & I through areas of mediation, pre trial & trial resulting in a positive outcome.
