Excellent Service with fast sale and purchase!
We used Steve to sell our house and purchase our new family home as a part exchange with a large developer. We wanted to get the whole thing completed in 2 months, from instructing him to represent us to having the keys! Despite several hurdles along the way Steve worked hard for us and ensured we managed to get our move completed on time.
Steven (and the whole team at HSW) were open and transparent along the journey and ensured we know what was going on at each step. He was very helpful with all my naive questions and always put us at ease throughout the process. Moving house is a particularly stressful experience but using Steven as our solicitor took a massive load of stress away!
We will definitely use Steve again when moving house in the future.

House sale
Steven has been a great help to me and my family in dealing with two property sales. After providing the initial information in both cases, we had very little to do as Steven was able to manage and complete the sales with very little fuss.

Best Solicitor Ever
I have used the services of Hall Smith Whittingham on several occasions and cannot rate the service Steven and his team provide highly enough. Selling and purchasing a property is one of the most stressful and nerve racking experiences an individual encounters regardless of how many times you've done it in the past. Steven helped me with my first solo house purchase over 12 years ago and I've been back to him without hesitation over and over again . Unlike previous solicitors I have dealt with in the past Steven is on the case from the offset, always available if you need to talk over a concern or worry and if he's not available at the time of calling always contacts you back in a timely manner. He provides constant updates and if he is going to be away informs you and has a colleague briefed so you aren't left without a point of contact should you need help and assistance. Don't bother looking anywhere else, you don't need anyone else, just call Steven. Job Done!

Property sales and purchase

Best Service, Best Communication
We sold our property in June 2023, selling a properly can be stressful at times, using Hall Smith Whittingham, was the best choice i had made, Steven and the team kept me up to date every step of the way, i honestly don't think i have received better service in any sector as good as the one i was given by steven and the team,

A Professional Service
On the death of my mother, I engaged the services of Hall Smith Whittingham LLP to conduct the sale of her property, which I had inherited. Parts of the property were constructed over 100 years ago, with added complications of a shared Septic Tank.
The solicitor acting for the purchaser proved challenging regarding some of the age and drainage related issues.
Steven Coles and his team dealt with each issue in a considered and professional manner - bringing the sale to a satisfactory conclusion.

As we needed help purchasing some land from family. Steve took our case on and got stuck in straight away, he answered all questions I/we had and what we thought of along the way. Always quick responses, replies also out of his working hours and always checked in ensuring all ok our end as there was delays due to others side solicitors/ surveys that were required.
The day Steve got our good news to complete he rang me the minute he got the news and shared it. I can honestly say Steve was in it all the way and went above and beyond, you could tell by just the excitement in his voice.
