Karen is the head of the Family department. Karen completed her training with the firm and was promoted to Partner level in 1999. Karen is a Partner and Senior Solicitor in the Family Team, she is dedicated to resolving matters amicably and as cost effectively as possible for her clients.     Painful separation agreement sorted

    Karen was lovely to engage with. She was friendly and calm and helped me navigate a difficult separation from my unmarried ex partner. She identified the numerous legal issues that appeared during the process and provided the correct advice, protecting my welfare and interests.

    Challenging 10 year Joint Life Spousal Maintenance Order

    I got divorced 10 years ago and was required to pay spousal maintenance on a joint lives basis together with child maintenance. Due to the capital settlement, my ex wife is living in a large 6 bedroom house and I am currently living in a 2 bedroom house. Given this disparity in the standard of living I needed to challenge the original order in court. I approached TG Baynes at the back end of 2022 to help resolve the issue. Throughout the process, I have been very impressed with this firm especially Karen Ioannou who really assisted and persevered in getting a fair consent order in place just before the FDR.
