Successful CHC Appeal
I first made contact with Farley Dwek in early 2023 when, following a full Continuing Healthcare assessment, the NHS decided that my mother was not eligible to receive fully funded Continuing Healthcare. My mother was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's and the team at Farley Dwek initiated an appeal on my behalf. Ruth Pople was appointed to deal with our case and I was very impressed with the level of skill, attention to detail and communication by Ruth and all members of staff involved. The appeal was successful at the Local Resolution stage. I subsequently asked Farley Dwek to look at another Previously Unassessed Period of Care (PUPoC) and, again, Ruth and her team pulled out all the stops and, with a fine toothcomb, sifted through months of care & medical records to achieve a successful result. Together with the success of the previous appeal, the NHS paid the full amount of my mother's care fees from June 2021 until she passed away in September 2025. The reimbursement of the fees as a result of the PUPoC, was handled with efficient skill by Jonathan Dwek, which took all of the stress out of the complicated process of restitution from myself. Ruth, Jonathan, Stacey and all of the team at Farley Dwek are a force to be reckoned with, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
