My experience with this firm was extremely disappointing. I instructed them for a buy-to-let purchase that didn’t proceed, handled by Jessica Mason. Communication was poor throughout — emails and calls went unanswered, including when I queried an unexpectedly high abortive fee. Not even once I was able to speak with Jessica Mason via the phone; I was given the excuse that there is the ‘Completions day’ and they are busy dealing with other cases. Their terms state fees are “from £250,” yet I was invoiced £450 + VAT plus search costs, even though the purchase never progressed to contract; I haven’t even received the searches results. When I raised a formal complaint, it was ignored, until I reminded them about their Complaints Handling Policy. They initially refused to adjust the amount or provide a clear explanation. Only after I told them that I will escalate the matter did with Legal Ombudsman and SRA they replied and adjusted the bill. This lack of transparency and disregard for client communication is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm.

We had a long drawn out house purchase due to the seller being so slow in responding. Jess Mason worked hard for us to secure the exchange of contracts etc, with literally 30 minutes left of the mortgage offer, she ploughed on and completed for us. We had our Wills drawn up by Nicki Dalton, and she was lovely and helped us with our concerns and the Wills were exactly to our specifications.
