Mellars - Court of Protection and House Clearance

We, family and friends have a task to employ a Solicitor to arrange Deputyship for my late cousin's widow now in care and to sort and empty their home ready for sale. The whole task is complex, but Mel has been invaluable in corresponding with us all and other parties to enable this to happen. We have had many communications from Mel and have met her on site at the house. She is concise in her communications and professionally friendly when we met. I could just about tick all the boxes below, but I am not the only one messaging and telephoning, so give my personal opinion. Not living in Cambridge, I am unlikely to use the Practice again, but could recommend to others nearby. Value for money - I don't know as I don't know how much it costs. The final payment will be paid from the Estate of my cousin and his widow's funds. I will not be involved. As the matter is not yet completed, I cannot complete the 'satisfaction'. I am definitely satisfied so far with all that has been done for us. I have to answer as the form cannot be submitted without one, so have answered to the affirmative. I have been extremely happy with all communications from all the professionals I have dealt with so far. It is not quite finished.

Deputyship application

From the very first phone conversation through to the last, and in all our meetings, Mel has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, reassuring me at every stage of the process with her professionalism, re-balancing my anxiety about some difficult matters by bringing perspective, focus and clarity that was most appropriate at specific times during the process.
