I received excellent family law advice from Hannah over a 2 1/2 year period as I went through a divorce. What was slightly unusual was that I was based overseas so our communication was almost entirely by email with the occasional client call but that didn't prevent her from understanding the dynamics of my case, forming an excellent client relationship and providing sound advice. With an up-to-date knowledge of the law, Hannah had a good grip of strategy and an intuitive approach. She could be tough when she needed to be. Hannah and senior partner Robert Williams worked well as a team, guiding me through the process from the traumatic early days through the various decisions, setbacks and milestones to a mutually agreed negotiated solution that avoided the expense of court.

It seems trite to write something such as "divorce is never easy" and it really isn't. I am exceptionally grateful for the wise counsel provided by Chris who was very capably supported by Hannah. The advice I was given was very carefully considered and very wise. I was given clear and realistic expectations of how matters were likely to unfold and, although at times you worry that everything will go wrong as you get closer to the finish line, it became clear that Chris' experience and judgement were excellent. Of course nothing is certain but I felt that due diligence was being done every step of the way. I did not feel I was being pressured in any direction and genuine concern was expressed for my welfare. I received very humane support during what can feel like a very brutal and upsetting time, so I am very grateful.

I highly recommend Hannah and her team at Family Law Partners, they have supported me through a very unique and stressful financial dispute resolution process at the family court. Hannah was very responsive, always compassionate and always realistic with her advice and my expectations. Hannah, with her paralegal Beth, guided me through my divorce. I was impressed from the outset when, prior to meeting Hannah, much detail was gathered to enable the meeting to be focussed. Hannah always replied promptly & made suggestions & explained the process throughout. I also liked the accounting system where everything is detailed on the invoices. I would recommend Hannah Gumbrill-Ward without any hesitation, she handled my case with the utmost professionalism and integrity, something which her opponent certainly can’t do.
