Complex portfolio mortgage and SPV property transaction
I instructed George on a complex transaction involving the disposal of properties from a freehold holding company into an SPV, alongside a portfolio mortgage as part of a wider company restructuring. The lender’s solicitors were demanding and raised continual additional enquiries. He remained hands-on throughout and did not simply relay correspondence - he dealt with issues directly, explained risks clearly and kept the transaction progressing. Communication was succinct and consistent, and expectations were realistic. When pressure increased close to completion he stayed calm, responsive and focused on getting the deal over the line. This was far beyond routine conveyancing and required both technical knowledge and practical judgement. The matter completed successfully and I would confidently instruct him again for complex property work.
