Susan qualified as a Solicitor in 2001. She joined Jordans Solicitors in January 2010 and has 17 years’ experience in Commercial Law. She has considerable experience of acting for both commercial clients and individuals across the full spectrum of litigation and disputes. Acting on behalf of commercial clients this includes cases such as company or partnership disputes, contract disputes and debt collection, building and construction disputes and property litigation. In the domestic arena this extends to acting for individuals in such matters as neighbour and boundary disputes and contested probate and will disputes. Susan also has considerable experience of drafting commercial contracts such as shareholder agreements and partnership agreements as well as bespoke contracts and terms and conditions. She is also frequently instructed on asset sale agreements and share sale agreements for clients. Having experience of acting in relation to both contentious and non-contentious work, Susan has a unique perspective to client instructions which helps her to understand the commercial risks which they are seeking to avoid in the documentation which she prepares for her clients. Susan is predominantly based in Wakefield but regularly sees clients in our other offices; Dewsbury, Selby, Wetherby, Horsforth and Penistone. Away from work Susan is a very keen club runner and regularly competes at local and County level at all distances from the mile to the marathon, having run a sub-3 hour marathon at London in 2018, the hottest on record! <em>"I pride myself in providing my clients with no nonsense legal advice; mindful at all times to tailor that advice to both my client's aims and objections and also their particulars means".</em>
