Carla was fantastic with my recent house purchase. As a first time buyer, she happily answered all of my questions - no matter how simple or complicated! Her communication was great, and I appreciated how she was always thinking and acting a step ahead with getting the purchase completed as quickly and smoothly as possible. Good experience
I had a good experience with Carla. Everything was completed in a timely manner and all interactions with her were professional and friendly. As a first time buyer it would have been beneficial for some things to be explained a bit further and in more detail as I was unaware of the process involved but other than that I was very happy with the service.

Great service from Carla

Absolutely ridiculous!!
Bad communication, no regular updates, process took ages, 4months to completion is way too long for a first time buyer, couldn’t speak to the solicitor directly, stay away!!

Service was brilliant
Our solicitor Carla was fantastic, answered any queries we had with the sale of our property and the purchase of a new house. There were lots of issues that happened right near the exchange and completion and she worked amazingly to get us completed by the deadline we had. Would thoroughly recommend this company and Carla. Not what you need at this stressful time!
Stephens Wilmot dealt with our house sale at the end of 2022. We continuously had to chase them to respond, not only to us but to other solicitors. They would sit on important documents for over a week before acknowledging them, let alone processing them. When we tried to contact them they would regularly not answer the phone, our estate agents also had this problem. When asked to settle a bridging loan as part of the sale they said they didn't know how to do this which we then had to explain to them, they eventually agreed to do it.
Whenever we called we would speak to our solicitors assistant, even when we asked to speak to her personally.
Overall our experience was not something I would wish on anyone buying or selling a property and I would never employ them again.

Simply the Best
I was lucky enough to choose Stephens Wilmot when looking for for a conveyancing solicitor. Carla was patience itself during our 2 false starts and didn't financially penalise us when we had to withdraw from two purchases. When we did find the 'one' she pulled out all the stops and we completed in six weeks and a day. She kept us informed at each step and everything was explained in an easy to understand and reassuring way.
Having had such a good experience with Carla we had no hesitation in instructing Carrie to arrange our wills and again we received an exemplary and friendly service.
I highly recommend Stephens Wilmot to anyone needing an approachable and professional firm of solicitors whose fees are very affordable.
