Fantastic Solicitor, Fantastic Service
I was somewhat sceptical about approaching McAlister Family Law with my issue, but as another reviewer has mentioned, they were recommended to me via a Federation and so I met George for an initial consultation; I'm really pleased that I did.
George is friendly, approachable & knowledgeable (and, on the rare occasion where he doesn't know the answer to a query, he'll find it).
From the initial meeting right through to the resolution of my matter, George kept me updated and responded swiftly to all of my many questions/concerns, reassuring me at each stage.
I'd recommend George to anyone, and he's someone who I'll definitely instruct in future should the need arise.
Although I didn't have many dealings with other members of McAlister Family Law, what I can say is that George is an asset to them and will work tirelessly on behalf of his clients.
If, like I did, you require the services of a Solicitor but you're unsure about whether or not to reach out - I'd recommend booking an initial consultation. You've nothing to lose.

Highly recommend
George and the team at McAlister Law came highly recommended and they did a great job dealing with my divorce. Divorce isn’t the most pleasant process to go through but George handled everything with exceptional professionalism and empathy, resolving things in a fair and timely manner. I am very thankful for the hard work George put into my case, he was always prompt at coming back to me, took the time to explain the process properly and executed as quickly as possible. I would happily recommend George.

Excellent experience from start to finish
McAlister Family Law was recommended to me through my work and was the first solicitor I had contacted about my situation. My first conversation with George was very reassuring as despite my uncertainty and emotional position, he was able to calmly and clearly explain the options with a good degree of empathy. Throughout the process of divorce and obtaining a financial consent order, I was always kept informed and George always responded quickly and professionally to any queries I had. The fees were very reasonable and I received a lovely bottle of wine once the decree absolute came through which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend McAlister & George to anyone in need of family law services.

Divorce
I instructed Mcalister law about 4 years ago and my Divorce has only just finalized. My Divorce was very complex, as my ex wife had moved assets to try and defeat my claim. What followed was a lengthy legal battle which consisted of a trial within a trial to effectively return assets to the rightful owner so that this could be Included in the marital . My large pension was then assessed using a Pension Actuary to enable a true value of worth when sorting the financial matters. My Ex wife and her solicitors would not negotiate at all the whole Divorce hearing went to the wire, George Wilson handled and oversaw my case right up to conclusion. It was particularly frustrating for him because the other side would deliberately try and cause problems and additional expense. The judge saw right through it it the end due to the determination by George Wilson who had put a detailed case together for Trial, The barrister who was instructed By Mcalister Law could not have achieved the result that he did if it hadn’t been for the hard work from George Wilson and the staff at Mcalister Law!
I was over the moon with the result that Mcalister Law secured for me, which the other party had tried to argue was an 18 year marriage based on nothing more than a relationship which ended and continuity was broken before a short marriage of 5 years.... the judge ruled it was a 5 year marriage and my Ex wife received an 8.5 % of my pension based on a cash payment to myself which was later reduced to ZERO on an offsetting basis.
So as you can see, good advice and good representation is worth every single penny! If I had not of had professional representation then I would be in a far far worse position now.
My thanks goes out to Amanda Mcalister and the company but I would give particular thanks to George Wilson for everything he did for me. Thankyou
