Sophie joined Thackray Williams in October 2018 as a Solicitor in our Private Client Department based in our West Wickham office. Sophie obtained a law degree at the University of Southampton before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London with Distinction. Sophie then became a paralegal for her County Council before starting her training contract at a Legal 500 firm in St Albans, Hertfordshire and qualifying into their Private Client Department in 2016. Sophie advises on all aspects of Wills, tax planning, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration and Declarations of Trust. Sophie is friendly and approachable and always puts her clients first. She has experience in drafting Wills to meet the clients’ needs from standard Wills to asset protection and tax planning Wills with trusts. She has experience in the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney. She also has experience in administering estates ranging from small estates to large complex estates and intestacies.

    Kindness and professionalism

    18 months ago my cousin passed away which left his elderly Mother “my Aunt” needing my help at a very sad and confusing time for her. In order to deal with this I sort to engage a Solicitor on her behalf. I contacted 3 Solicitors in the West Wickham area before I found what I considered to be the right choice for our case. From the moment Sophie Boxall answered my call at Thackray Williams she made me feel at ease straight away and I knew then that I had found the right person to appoint. In the coming months my relationship with Sophie was very comfortable and reassuring. Her prompt answers to my queries, her kindness and professionalism has been amazing. She is a credit to Thackray Williams and we will always be grateful to Sophie. Also we would like to thank Kevin Gauntlett in the Conveyancing department for his help and professionalism in bringing the sale of a property to a successful conclusion.
