Abigail studied at the University of Plymouth receiving a First Class Honours Law LLB undergraduate degree, before completing her Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Professional Legal Practice and earning a Distinction. Abigail then joined the firm in 2022 where she trained within our Wills & Trusts, Court of Protection, and Contentious Probate departments, in order to strengthen her professional skills across a variety of private client matters. In September 2024, Abigail qualified as a Solicitor in our Court of Protection department. Abigail specialises in the Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Probate Administration needs of our Court of Protection department. She is dedicated to supporting others at one of the most difficult times, specifically with making the necessary arrangements after vulnerable clients pass away. Often, this will include confirming the relevant estate administration procedures for each client and investigating matters further with genealogists. These estates can range dramatically in complexity, size and nature due to the variety of vulnerable clients our Court of Protection team support. Abigail also deals with Trust Registration (TRS) and Personal Injury Trusts to provide clear and tailored advice on to protect her clients’ position. Abigail has produced useful informational factsheets for clients that make understanding the world of TRS and Personal Injury Trusts far easier. Outside of work Abigail enjoys exploring the various beaches Plymouth has to offer and spending time with her family, including her dog. Abigail has found that being a part of the University’s Employment Law Clinic, and the University of Plymouth Law Society, has allowed her to build skills in all kinds of areas that serves her well in meeting the needs of those who she has the pleasure to help. Outside of work, Abigail has a puppy and baby niece that she loves to spoil. She also never misses an opportunity to explore the lovely beaches that Plymouth has to offer.
