When my autistic son was suspended from work, we felt he had been treated unfairly in the workplace because of his disability and needed help and advice from a specialist employment lawyer. Consilia Legal were highly recommended to me.
I dealt with both Marie and Vicky and I can honestly say they were both amazing. They were both very professional and caring.
Initially, I was worried that I would find speaking to a solicitor confusing and complicated but they simplified things so I was able to gain a better understanding of employment law.
Vicky then delt with my son’s case and I felt we built a very good relationship. She was so easy to talk to and I found her very approachable, which made me feel very comfortable.
Because of my son’s disability, our aim was to seek a quick and satisfactory resolution rather than a lengthy, damaging conflict. Vicky was always there to advise me on the best course of action to resolve the dispute as quickly as possible and to help us achieve a positive outcome (which we did).

Consilia Legal, and Marie in particular, have helped me a number of times with thorough and caring legal advice. This last time she helped me negotiate my way out of a difficult work situation.
As a result of her candid advice I was able to:
a) Leave amicably by resigning
b) Secure 3 months pay in lieu of notice
c) Obtain written confirmation a standard reference would be provided
Wonderful work as always and much appreciated!
I would add there was a detailed plan in place should an amicable separation not have been possible, but this was not needed in the end due to the aforementioned candour. Always best to find an amicable solution.

Outstanding Employment advice
I never thought I would find myself in the situation I was in and Marie has been absolutely fantastic, I cannot thank her enough. Really strong technical knowledge of employment law and settlement experience, coupled with a friendly and down to earth manner, I knew after our first call that she was the right person for me. Marie went out of her way to resolve matters to tight deadlines, when my Employers were putting the pressure on. She was also able to put different perspectives forward, so I could fully understand what was happening and what options I had to consider.
Marie was 100% committed, even finalising things over the Christmas period, which I really didn't expect her to do, yet she went above and beyond to get things resolved so I could have closure and move on from an awful situation.
Very different from other Solicitors I have experienced, Marie didn't rush converstaions, making you feel like you are paying by the minute. She was always lovely and friendly, caring, compassionate and personable. She was also tough when needed, able to challenge and was a strong negotiator. I strongly recommend Marie if you are looking for an Employment Lawyer.

Above and beyond my expectations in every way…
I approached Marie Walsh to resolve a matter with my former employer from whom I had resigned my senior management role of over 5years following the sudden unexpected passing of my father in order care for my mother who has dementia and disabled sister and father in law who had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It became apparent that my employer had underpaid my pension contributions amongst other things. Whilst my expectations were low in terms of compensation and I was understandably dealing with a raft of emotions I decided that I needed to address the outstanding issues with my employer. I contacted Marie to explain the situation and discuss my options. From the initial contact I was shown outstanding empathy and sensitivity in addition to absolute professionalism which continued throughout my case. The outcome was beyond my expectations which I attribute to Marie’s tenacity she is a true professional and an exceptional human being.
