Alison Horscroft is a Paralegal in our Private Client Department. Alison provides support to all the Solicitors in the department which includes helping look after the affairs of the elderly and assisting them to administer the estates of those who have passed away with and without a Will. Alison has been working with our Probate Solicitors helping them manage their cases from start to finish during her time with Stephen Rimmer LLP. Alison can deal with all aspects of Probate and Estate Administration including obtaining valuations of assets, corresponding with financial institutions and applying for the Grant of Representation. Once the Grant has been obtained Alison organises the gathering in of all the estate assets and paying out in accordance with the terms of the Will; or intestacy rules (as applicable). Alison is very approachable and enjoys getting to know her clients, she strives to avoid the use of legal jargon and understand that often people are distressed following a recent bereavement and will make every effort to ensure that the legal process is as straightforward as possible for them. Outside of work Alison has a keen interest in her daughters horse and accompanying her to various events, Alison is also a breeder and exhibitor of purebred cavies (guinea-pigs)
