If you’re buying or selling a property and looking for a reliable solicitor who keeps you updated, is reliable, hardworking and cares about your situation, then you genuinely should stop looking any further. Like most people we generally had the view that solicitors are mostly known for not being very communicative and seemingly taking longer than most lay-people would expect to get the legal work done, and generally a bit of a nightmare to deal with…. Our experience with Eve Lake Conveyancing and Legal Services couldn’t have been further from that. After a recommendation from a friend, we sent our first initial enquiry to this company shortly after 10pm in the evening, and we had a reply from Eve herself that same evening! Eve and everybody in her team we communicated with (mainly Abigail and Antonia) have been nothing but helpful, polite and very professional right from the start to finish. We had quite a stressful chain situation with pressures and threats from our sellers and lots of Deeds of Variations to be passed around different freeholders and management companies; but even with all of this, we were kept well informed at least every week and not once were we left in the dark or felt unsupported. There was even one occasion late in the process when we had a short but very welcome reply to a semi-urgent email shortly after midnight! … I think most people would understandably have “downed tools” the minute the office closed and replied when they are back in the office the following morning. One last thing for anybody concerned like we were… since we live in Buxton we initially thought that having a solicitor in the Hope Valley would be too far for us to travel… it turns out that everything can be done online. We only chose to travel over to hand in our signed mortgage deeds because it was quicker than posting. Thank you Eve, Abigail, Antonia and all the team for your support and for taking all the unnecessary stress out of our house move.
