I meant to write this review last year after the sale of my flat, but life took over, and honestly that probably says everything about how intense that period was. What I do know is that I would not have got through the sale without Sude Yaz at Wake Smith Solicitors. From start to finish, Sude was calm, steady and incredibly supportive, even when I very much was not. I was under a lot of stress throughout the process, and she had an amazing ability to ground the situation, explain things clearly, and keep everything moving without adding to the pressure. The buyer’s solicitor was frankly a nightmare, constantly asking for unnecessary information and creating complications where there did not need to be any. Sude handled it with total grace, professionalism and quiet confidence. She did not take any nonsense, but she also never escalated things unnecessarily. It was such a relief knowing she had everything handled. My flat was in London while Wake Smith are based in Sheffield, and that made absolutely no difference at all. If anything, it highlighted just how good they are. I have dealt with other solicitors in the past who promised the world, charged huge sums, and delivered very little. That was not my experience here. Wake Smith, and Sude in particular, were completely honest and upfront about costs, realistic about what could be achieved, and then actually delivered on it. Even the estate agent was so impressed by how Sude managed the situation with the London solicitor that he now actively recommends her to other buyers and sellers. I genuinely will not go anywhere else now. I cannot recommend Wake Smith and Sude highly enough. Thank you so, so much.
