Overview Jack Collins is a Trainee Solicitor based in BHP Law’s Darlington office. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has developed a strong and well‑rounded foundation across family law, litigation and private client work. He is currently part of the Wills, Trusts and Probate team, supporting clients with future planning, asset protection and estate administration. Experience & Background Jack began his career with BHP Law in September 2020 within the Family Law team, assisting on a wide range of private matters including divorce, financial settlements and applications under the Children Act. He later expanded his experience into family injunctions, supporting clients seeking protective measures such as non‑molestation and occupation orders. He broadened his expertise within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, assisting on civil disputes involving contact issues, landlord and tenant matters and debt recovery. This experience strengthened his analytical skills and deepened his understanding of contentious legal work. Achievements Jack has been recognised for both academic excellence and professional development. He was named Trainee of the Year 2023 at the Northern Law Awards in Newcastle upon Tyne, reflecting his outstanding performance and dedication to the profession. He was also admitted to the Law School Honour Roll, sponsored by Womble Bond Dickinson, in recognition of exceptional academic achievement during the 2020–21 academic year, before graduating from Northumbria University in 2024. Approach Jack is an ambitious and committed future solicitor who combines strong academic ability with practical experience across multiple areas of law. He is focused on providing accurate, efficient and supportive assistance to clients while continuing to develop his technical expertise. Known for his professionalism, attention to detail and willingness to take on complex work, Jack is dedicated to delivering a consistently high standard of service as he advances through his training. He is due to undertake the LPC in September 2026 as he continues his pathway toward admission to the roll of solicitors.
