I had been employed in the same business for 11 years as a General Manager, the last 18 months under new ownership. The end was awful and very stressful. I needed a solicitor for advice & to get me the best way out. My Google search for an employment solicitor resulted in Thomas Mansfield Solicitors, my Solicitor was to be Jessica Wells. From the off set I was at ease and immediately felt comfortable at the level of professionalism. The whole process was thorough, informative and prompt. There were no delays. I initially dealt with a couple of members of the team before I spoke to Jessica - if they said they were going to do something, it was done promptly. I was booked in for a telephone conversation with Jessica within a couple of days. She’d clearly been through my agreement thoroughly and in detail before we’d spoken. When it came to going through my exit agreement with me on the phone, she went through it word for word giving me clear explanation to all reference points, giving me the best advice and telling me what was best for me - not just telling me what I wanted to hear or to get a quick conclusion and onto the next client. With Jessica, I was dealing with a person who was thorough, professional, personal, patient and very knowledgeable within her field of employment law. - it was nice to deal with a human being that was not reading from a script, I was treated as an individual. I was on a tight timeline to end my employment and Jessica took this into consideration - nothing was too much trouble. There was some bank & forth from my employer, but Jessica was all over it. As we were approaching the weekend, time was not exactly on my side - Jessica was there late Friday afternoon and reassured me this would be over the line and not to worry. I had 3 working days after the weekend to get this finalised. I finished my employment with a package that I was very satisfied with. The credit is purely down to Jessica. Even after all the paperwork was signed, my employment concluded - I received an email from Jessica a few days later - simply asking how I was, it was not expected - it could be described as “after care service” she exceeded all expectations. Many, many thanks to Thomas Mansfield Solicitors - but my appreciation to Jessica Wells who represented me.

Jessica assisted me with reviewing my preparation for a disciplinary hearing. She was calm, focused and extremely kind during what was an incredibly stressful time. She helped me review my key points in the more challenging areas of the response for me, and kept me on track with focusing on the crux of the issue and the overall message of my response. This was invaluable, along with reviewing the detail of some of the areas and specific responses and and reviewing much of the copy in the trickiest areas and key sections like the conclusion, advising what to remove and what to include and how to address certain key areas best based on my experience of the situation. Jessica had an amazing ability to cut through a vast amount of information, situations and explanations of events and get straight to the key message and this meant her assistance kept me on track for the best response I could give.
