Prior to pursuing a career in law, Claire spent 10 years as a Lecturer in Corporate Finance and Business Law at the University of Stirling and Edinburgh Napier University, having completed an MBA in Finance at the University of Stirling in 1990. Claire has practiced in Family Law and Civil Litigation since she qualified and spent 5 years at the Scottish Bar practicing in Family and Employment Law before returning to Private Practice in 2016. Initial consultation
I had recently separated from my husband and emotions were running very raw. I wanted to seek out an impartial advisor who could help me face the enormity of the task ahead. Claire was able to free up her diary to see me that day and quickly broke down the legal position for me, gave advice on what to do regarding my son and gave me lots to consider in terms of what I wanted from the break up. All was delivered in a very human and caring way which was exactly what I needed.

Initial contact with Claire Thomas
The fear of the unknown with my daughters custody case is so stressful that it will make you ill, My advice to others would be to book the appointment ASAP as the stress will have less impact on your health. What i really enjoyed about talking with Claire was the appointment was paid to be an hour long, she booked off 2 hour and spent at least 1.5hrs taking notes for the future. I felt comfortable to pace around the room while trying to stop the emotions coming out and I was given plenty time to gather myself when I started to struggle.

Separation advice
Had my first meeting today to seek advice on separation, I was really nervous about the appointment but Claire instantly put me at ease with her friendly and compassionate manner. Gave me all the information I needed to take the next step to move forward. Same day draft letter was sent for my approval.

Fantastic service
