Minimum engagement and effort as well as poor communication. I had to lead on the process myself - chase for information, liaise with other party, I even drafted documents myself (e.g. tenancy agreement). The solicitor charged nearly £700 for review of a short document prepared by other party's legal team and for a title check. Polite and pleasant, but other than that will not be returning for more service. And no, the fact that you give someone a small discount doesn't mean you provide a second class service.

We had an excellent experience dealing with Andrew de Ferrars, who helped us with our house purchase. Thoroughly professional, meticulous, and prompt in communication, Andrew kept on top of various things going on with the property, and stood resolute when the vendor's solicitors when they were trying to brush off some important information. If it was not for Andrew we wouldn't be able to complete the purchase in time. I'd never go for an online Conveyancing firm after this experience. You get what you pay for, and when purchasing a property, it can make a massive difference.
