Sophie was very professional and reassuring throughout my case. I am incredibly grateful to Sophie Slaney and her legal team for their unwavering support, expertise, and dedication throughout what has been an incredibly challenging journey. My ordeal began in 2022 when I was arrested and remanded without bail. The following year, in 2023, I was wrongly convicted and sentenced to 11 years plus 5 years extended. The media coverage was overwhelming, and the pressure was immense as the press called for others to come forward with similar allegations. It was a shocking and distressing time for me. However, thanks to the incredible efforts of Sophie and her legal team, we appealed the conviction. In a pivotal moment, the Court of Appeal quashed the original conviction, but the CPS decided to push for a retrial. In 2024, the retrial ended in a hung jury, and my legal team successfully managed to get me released on bail with conditions, which was a huge relief. Despite the hung jury, the CPS pursued another retrial, which took place in 2025. Once again, we faced a hung jury, but this time, just two days before the trial's completion, I was falsely accused of breaching my bail conditions and arrested in the middle of the night. My legal team fought my behalf, and thankfully, no action was taken. After further case management and additional involvement from the CPS, Sophie and her team continued their relentless pursuit of justice. In the end, they secured a not guilty verdict on all counts, and my case was finally acquitted. I cannot thank Sophie Slaney and her team enough for their professionalism, perseverance, and dedication throughout this entire ordeal. They fought for me every step of the way, and their tireless work led to the eventual clearing of my name. I will forever be grateful for their support and the justice they helped me achieve.
