I had a particularly difficult tenant who worked in the legal profession and refused to vacate the property and pay rent for over a year . Stephensons knew the process step by step and recovered my property, rent arrears /plus interest and a significant amount of costs against the tenant . They all went out of their way to ensure a win against a tenant that tried every legal angle . So a big thank you to Sophie Chilstone ,Andrew Whitehead from Stephenson’s and Gary Lewis the barrister they assigned to my case . I would highly recommend these people they seriously know what they are doing

My experience with Stephensons has been nothing short of frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. I instructed them for a straightforward legal matter, expecting professional service, but what I received was completely unacceptable. Despite paying for a solicitor, my case was handled by a junior who repeatedly produced error-filled legal documents, including basic miscalculations. The final document was still inaccurate even after multiple revisions. When I raised concerns, getting a response was nearly impossible—calls were ignored, emails went unanswered, and even escalations marked as “high priority” were completely disregarded. Supervisors were nowhere to be found, and when I finally managed to involve a legal partner, they had been on leave and still failed to address the situation upon their return. The entire process caused me more stress than handling the matter myself, which completely defeats the purpose of hiring a solicitor. Given the lack of professionalism, poor attention to detail, and abysmal communication, I would strongly advise against using Stephensons. I have now taken my business elsewhere and would urge others to do the same. If you want a solicitor who actually answers the phone and gets the job done properly, look elsewhere.

We have tried to use this Company to do a Section 21. We suggest you do not use this shambolic company to carry this work out. They will drag this out for months and get you know where with it, for months. They will debunk every think you provide them with and then make up more then you need to give, to action a Section 21. They will literaly sell you out, then to drop your case. They are utterly Shambolic. Their Advisor team members are very rude also, of which CIA now know about. Constantly talking over you, when your trying to explain your issues with them. Sophie Chilstone must be one of the worst Solicitors I have ever known and I know of a lot after my Ex wife has worked in the legal proffesion for more years than I can care to mention. Totally unprofeesional and basically uncontactable, except via email only. Also they have broke the Data Protection Act by corresponding to unauthorised customers, on the phone etc. A complete admittance by themselves, as from the 29/08/2024. Then change their tact and stop talking to you, when things get a little difficult for them and you advise them, they are being recorded for training and monitoring purpose. Stay well clear of this diabolical Solictor / Solicitors, they will just waste your time and money.
