Gracie Coleman

Gracie joined Wolferstans in September 2023 after completing her LLB Honours Degree at the University of Plymouth, achieving a First-Class. She then completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Masters, achieving a Distinction in July 2024. Originally from Sussex, Gracie spent four years working for a competitive plumbing and heating firm as an Office Administrator and Contract Coordinator. Her experience with managing major contracts with a particular focus on handling vulnerable tenants and customers’ needs, has assisted her greatly in a career in law. Gracie has always prized herself in delivering exceptional customer service to her clients, by always responding to their queries within a short timescale, keeping them fully informed whilst also managing clients’ expectations. Gracie spent her first year in the firm working as a paralegal within our Court of Protection Department, where she gained experience in the management of a client’s property and financial affairs and making applications to the Court of Protection. In September 2024, Gracie commenced her Solicitor Training Contract with Wolferstans in the Employment and Education Department, where she gained experience assisting with: Redundancy Processes Workplace Grievances Disciplinary Procedures Employment Tribunal Hearings Contract and Policy Drafting and Reviewing Settlement Agreements (for both employer and employee) Conducting a Grievance Hearing Assisting an Independent Panel In March 2025, Gracie transitioned to the Medical Negligence Claims Department, where she has assisted with cases involving: Stroke Spinal Cord Injury Birth Injury Amputation Delayed Diagnosis of Cancer Delayed or Misdiagnosis of Non-Cancerous Conditions In September 2025, Gracie began working in the Corporate Department within our Business Services team, where she worked on various commercial matters, including: Company Formation Mergers and Acquisitions Directors’ Duties Company Restructuring/Share Buyback Arrangements Partnership Agreements Partnership Dissolution Shareholder Agreements Shareholder Exit Agreements In March 2026, having maintained her passion for Employment Law and working with commercial clients, Gracie qualified into our Business Services team as a Solicitor, specialising in Employment Law. Gracie has previously acted as the Events and Activities Officer for the University of Plymouth Law Society, which involved organising a number of networking events within the local legal community, such as ‘Cheese and Wine’ in December 2022. She also completed a 1-year placement within the Employment Law Clinic, an invaluable pro-bono institute of the University which provides free and accessible legal advice to members of the local community. Outside of work, Gracie is the Communications Lead for the newly-formed Devon Chamber of Commerce NextGen Committee, and is also a Director of the Sussex Chelonian Society, a not-for-profit organisation which rescues and rehomes tortoises of many species, which are an endangered and often misunderstood animal. In her free time, she loves days out with her nephew Freddie, going to the gym, walking her dog Norman, or spending time with her friends.
