I liked that we were using a local company where you could have a face to face meeting if/when necessary. Our solicitor kept us informed throughout the process, was generally quick with replying and was patient with explanations when we needed. We had a few ‘queries’ but these were soon rectified. Anya (our solicitor) was professional but also approachable and did her utmost to keep to our brief. She has made a stressful situation easier as well as achieving an outcome we would not have been able to rectify without her help. I would certainly use Slee Blackwell (Anya Hoyland) again.

Impressed with the depth of knowledge
I was impressed with the depth of knowledge our solicitor had and when instructed she was very efficient, within a fortnight she had discovered the information that I needed to know. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I had a need.

Unbelievable efficiency
I have dealt with quite a few solicitors, both privately and in business and even approached some practices regarding the particular matter I needed legal help with before I came across Slee Blackwell Solicitors. Many weeks were lost because of quick communication at the beginning trailing off and many emails from me being ignored until I had to withdraw instructions. If a practice does not have the time to take on a case, they should say so.
After feeling that I'd been messed around a fair bit, I kept googling and found Slee Blackwell and their reviews regarding probate problems were excellent.
When I contacted Slee Blackwell, response was immediate and then Anya was allocated to our case. What a breath of fresh air!! More immediate responses. Since I'd had this before, I waited for the responses to become sluggish but no - when I emailed Anya in response to her emails, she was back the next day even if it was to explain that there would be a delay for holiday time etc. She gave an outline of what to expect in the way of fees before we proceeded so there were no shocks along the line.
I have found Anya to be very easy to work with, very professional, very knowledgeable about the way forward, very efficient and very open to ideas and suggestions from the client. I could keep on with the 'verys' but I think the point has been made. We, as a family, feel very fortunate to have come across Anya and our good outcome was collaborative with Anya accepting suggestions, but at the final hurdle, it was Anya who dealt with the opposing party and wouldn't back down which resulted in a justified and happy outcome.

Anya Hoyland was diligent, understanding, consciencious in dealing with our equiry.

My Mother's Estate
Steph and Anya helped me throughout the whole process when my mums passed away, they took control as I had no idea what and when things needed doing, both teams worked on my behalf even helping when an unsubstantiated claim on the Estate was made. Plus the Braunton office dealt with the house sale making things go so smoothly as the offices dealt with each other.
I would definitely recommend these guys and thank you all for making what was a very sad hard job that bit easier for me & the family.
