Nimalee Bastian-Carter has helped us so much throughout this past year, cannot thank her enough. We first engaged her to help my Mum sort her Will and LPA. My Mum couldn’t leave the house so Nimalee came out to her, talked through everything with her and made her feel so supported throughout the whole process. Mum was very happy with the service she received and was reassured to know it was being handled in such a kind and professional manner. We then had to move my Mum to a care home, but sadly her health declined and she died a few months later. Although I was executor, I found everything a bit overwhelming as we had the house sale to deal with also. So again I turned to Nimalee and she helped us through the whole process, dealing with the estate which was quite a complicated process. Nimalee is always professional but kind. Many times I didn’t understand the process and Nimalee would take time to explain things to me. She always replied promptly to my emails and kept me fully updated. I would definitely recommend Nimalee and Judge and Priestley to someone needing help with these services. Nimalee has helped me through a difficult time in my life and I will always be grateful to her for this.

I hired the firm to conduct resealing a Canadian Grant of Probate in order to release funds left by my late husband in a UK bank. This required filing Inheritance Tax forms with HMRC, applying for UK Probate and communicating with the bank on my behalf. The process was slow as the firm had to abide by HMRC/Probate Court timings but I found Ms. Bastian Carter and her staff pleasant to communicate with and responsive to my needs and am pleased at the successful outcome of my case.

Nimalee Bastian-Carter recently assisted my husband and myself in setting up simple Wills and Powers of Attorney (both health and financial). Nimalee listened to our requirements, explained all the options clearly, and helped us through the documentation and signature and registration process, which for the PoAs is quite complicated. We were very happy with the service received.

Used Judge & Priestley to draft our wills as they had Lexcel accreditation from the Law Society and the price quoted was reasonable. Nimalee Bastian-Carter drafted our wills after a face to face meeting. She was pleasant and approachable, and made useful suggestions for clauses in the will. She had good knowledge of will draftying, as she was a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practictioners). The final cost was exactly as quoted, and they stored our wills for us at no extra charge.
