Ellie recently qualified as a solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department. Ellie has worked at Prettys since 2019, starting at the firm on a temporary placement as part of her undergraduate Law degree at Nottingham Trent University. Ellie continued to work at the firm throughout her undergraduate studies. Ellie gained experience working as a paralegal within the Commercial Property department before starting her training contract in September 2022. Since, Ellie has gained experience working as a trainee solicitor in the Employment department, and in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department. During the course of her training contract, Ellie continued her post-graduate studies part-time at the University of Law and in 2023, obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course LLM. Ellie regularly puts the knowledge gained as a paralegal in the commercial property department into practice, advising on a variety of property litigation matters. Ellie also assists in a wide variety of disputes, such as: contentious probate; insolvency; and debt claims.

    We have been very impressed with Pretty’s as a whole and the speed in which queries were dealt with, doing everything they could do push our sale through as quickly as possible. Ellie was very quick to respond to our questions and did all she could to respond as quickly as possible to the many and onerous queries from the lenders solictors, to ensure completion happened before our valuation expired. Not only this but they also continued to chase Land Registry on the removal of incorrect titles and leases, so this wasn’t dropped by the sellers solicitors. Thank you for all your help!

    Great Customer Service and Attention to Detail

    In 2021 we sold 19 new build properties worth some £6m with the assistance of Prettys. Rebecca has been an outstanding source of wisdom throughout the project with great advice, proactively correcting some errors from our previous engagements and a very creative approach to handling some pretty decent sized (and potentially costly) issues ranging from boundary concerns, agreements with the Highways through to disputes with residents. We at Tendering Developments Ltd and all our Group Companies value our relationship with Prettys and want to say a massive thanks to Rebecca, Graeme, Zoe, Aimee, Paul, Ellie and all others involved in contributing to our success these last few years.
