I studied at Jesus College, Oxford, and the University of the West of England before joining Burges Salmon in 2003 where I subsequently qualified as a Solicitor. I joined Goughs in April 2015, was made a Partner in 2016 and am Head of the Family department. I am an experienced family law specialist and advise a wide range of clients, both married and unmarried, on the implications of relationship breakdown. Typically my cases involve complex issues, and I specialise in matters which involve trusts, pensions, and business structures.     Amazing and empathetic service

    I needed the financial order to complete that stage of my divorce. We had already gone through mediation but I was conscious that it was important to get this done properly. At every stage, I was kept well informed though email (my preferred choice of communication due to working hours). Everything was explained thoroughly and the paperwork was completed quickly. My lawyer, Tom, was sensitive to the emotional impact that everything was having. Everything took a matter of weeks and Tom kept me updated with the timeline. I was very impressed!

    I used Goughs in the past for my Divorce, and found them to be incredibly professional and courteous at all times. Communication was never a problem, with both messages and emails answered promptly and professionally. My solicitor, Tom Boyce, deserves a special mention. I have complex mental health disabilities and Tom’s professionalism, understanding and a willingness to go above and beyond, made an extremely difficult time, more bearable.
