Matthew navigated me through a lengthy, highly complex set of contractual negotiations involving two corporate law firms and a smaller general practice. At the outset he joined me for meetings with the key individuals of the project and was a tremendous suport. The lawyers and their respective clients held Matthew’s professionalism in high regard and this was key to the projects success. Mathew calmly coordinated the various demands and without his assured, humble and professional approach, a successful outcome would not have been achieved. I would like to add that I also really appreciated how well Matthew handled me. At times I became intensely frustrated regarding legal points and processes I had little understanding of, and he provided me with the clarity and context needed to achieve a successful outcome.

I cannot recommend Matthew Bell highly enough. He recently handled a complex refinance for me and managed to get the entire transaction completed in just three weeks, which is incredibly impressive given the level of detail and coordination required. Matthew was proactive, responsive, and completely on top of every aspect of the process from start to finish. Whenever issues arose, he dealt with them immediately and kept everything moving forward efficiently. What really stood out was how much he went above and beyond. It never felt like just another file on his desk — he was fully invested in getting the deal done properly and on time. I recently worked with Matthew Bell on a Promotion Agreement in South Bucks after he was recommended to me through industry contacts. I would say Matthew has been the best solicitor I have worked with in my experience at SMEs and very good value compared to tier 1 city firms I'm used to from the plc world. Matthew took the lead on drafting the agreement and his advice was extremely commercial and efficient throughout. He was a good advocate when dealing with the other side’s solicitors, had an excellent grasp of all relevant legal principles as well as their practical impacts and was always focused on the really key points. Obviously, you don’t get the overnight turnaround times on drafting you will get from a city firm but his review of the other side’s comments was always done in very good time. Needless to say, with Matthew’s help we managed to enter an agreement that both sides were happy with! I would definitely recommend Matthew and hope to work with him again in the near future.

The deadline I asked them to work to was only two and a half weeks to complete a complex transaction with multiple contracts. My sale was dealt with by Matthew Bell who made this his top priority, and was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and even though he had limited time, he ensured I had everything covered. I'd highly recommend him in any commercial context and even the purchasers solicitor were impressed with how thorough and responsive he was. Additionally the fees were very good value for the amount of work involved.
