Tony Cheetham is a Partner of the firm and a highly experienced solicitor in our Commercial Department. He qualified in 1984 and provides experienced business advice in numerous areas of commercial law. Tony can advise clients on company and business sales and purchases, commercial contracts, commercial property acquisitions and sales, farm sales and purchases, leases, securitisation and company, LLP and partnership formations and reconstructions. He also deals with intellectual property agreements, hydro-electric schemes, employment contracts and advice, acquisitions, disposals and reconstructions of professional practices. Tony joined the firm in 2008 when his firm, Cauthery Waterman and Cheetham, merged with Fraser Dawbarns LLP. Prior to setting up his own firm in 1994, Tony worked at Metcalfe Copeman and Pettefar where he qualified in 1984. Tony is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association. Previously, he has won the silver medal of Comité Européen de Droit Rural. Outside of work, Tony was a past Committee Member of Agricultural Law Association and between 1987 and 2004 he was the Treasurer of Comité Européen de Droit Rural. He is also a past governor of Isle College of Further Education, now the College of West Anglia in Wisbech.
