Austin joined Nash & Co in September 2005 from a large regional firm in East Anglia, where he had practiced as a commercial solicitor for many years. Austin is very experienced in Company & Commercial Law especially contract work, business sales, acquisitions, reorganisations, intellectual property, shareholder and director rights & responsibilities. He relocated to the South West to be nearer relatives and for the quality of life especially for his family.
When asked why Austin prefers Commercial Law, he said “I enjoy the challenges of dealing with the variety and often complex legal situations that arise in commercial transactions and I value maintaining a close working relationship with the management and ownership of my business clients both large and small.” He maintains strong skills in a wide range of legal issues relevant to the commercial sector and has a pragmatic approach to dealing with his client’s needs.
Austin was made a Partner in May 2006 and a member of the LLP in May 2010. He qualified in October 1998 and has a postgraduate diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Could not fault the process
I�m writing regarding the sale of Hatt Farm in September 2020, with the conveyance done by Austin Blackburn. I could not fault how Austin handled the sale. He was always quick to reply on any query I had, explained issues very clearly, was courteous and often with a sense of humour! All conveyancers should follow his example! Very happy! I have used Nash and Co for some years now. David Cornelius organised our Wills , Julia�Ludlow has done some conveyancing for me, and is currently doing one for my daughter and son in law, so have every confidence in the firm and� those who work in it, and will continue to instruct the firm for other legal matters in the future.

Great experience
RSD Recruitment was looking to let a commercial property within Plymouth City Centre or near to it. Once we found the right location & office we were recommended to use�Austin Blackburn�at Nash & Co to formalise & engage our lease.��I am so pleased we did as not everything was straight forward as it was a sub let. Austin however was there every step of the way, advising, meeting us & doing everything within his power to ensure we could move in on our target date, which was a challenge to say the least!�We found Nash & Co polite, easy to deal with & gave such honest advice for a fair price. We @ RSD Recruitment wouldn�t hesitate to use Austin or Nash & Co again for any of our up & coming legal work. Efficient and comprehensive
