I pride myself in providing pragmatic and straight talking advice, with commercial and client objectives at the forefront of my approach. I have, over many years, worked closely with small and medium sized employers across a range of industries, including professional services, construction and care homes. I qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. I am ranked in Chambers UK. I live in Sussex with my family. In my spare time, I am kept on my toes by my two young children whilst attempting to progress the renovation of my home!

    Very helpful, practical detailed, and a pleasure to speak with!

    Alex is a genuinely lovely person, which is helpful when dealing with less savoury aspects of life like legal agreements! He explains everything clearly and more importantly he has a detailed eye and finds the terms that matter (and helps you change them!) He's also very pragmatic and considerate of time and will help as needed but also encouraged and advised you how to handle any negotiations so it's cost effective!

    Really helped us when we needed it

    We needed a solicitor at very short notice to help draft an ET3 employment tribunal response. Alex was recommended to us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to everyone else. He was knowledgeable and pragmatic. He went above and beyond at a time when our options were limited. The only section of the review I did not give 5 stars was value for money as Alex is very senior and it was not possible to use someone more junior due to the time constraints.

    Excellent adviser for employees/partners seeking efficient, effective and timely assistance

    Alex assisted me with my membership in a partnership agreement of a law firm and related withdrawal and settlement. His advice was solid, unfussed and practical. His due diligence was comprehensive and included value aspects of the settlement. He ensured review of all the referred to documentation to ensure there’d be no surprises. Alex was accommodating, but tactical, in communicating with the counterparty, fronting where appropriate. He committed to timing and could bill within the set limits, and complied with both. Communications content and frequency were appropriate for the subject matter. His practice makes use of straightforward online KYC processes and all our (video) interactions were remote. All in all, Alex is an excellent adviser for employees/partners seeking efficient, effective and timely assistance in such cases
