Sally Hubbard

Specialist Employment Solicitor

Accepting new clients via ReviewSolicitors

Sally is a Lincolnshire girl through and through and has lived in Lincoln her whole life (apart from a brief spell when she went to university in Nottingham, but we don’t talk about that). She began her career with Lincolnshire County Council qualifying as a solicitor in 1996, which she believes now makes her “vintage”. Whilst at Lincolnshire County Council, Sally chose employment law as her specialism and over the years she has seen many changes to employment legislation and the Employment Tribunal process. Sally left Lincolnshire County Council in 2005 to set up an Employment Law Department at a local solicitors’ firm. Although she helped many different employees and employers, she could not help her public sector leanings. This resulted in her assisting many schools and public sector employees with their workplace disputes. In 2015 Sally decided to start her own firm and Lincs Law Employment Solicitors was born. She is passionate about helping people and works extremely hard to obtain the best resolution possible for all her clients. In her spare time Sally enjoys cooking far too much food at dinner parties and turning what could be a pleasant evening into a feat of endurance for her guests. Regular invitees now arm themselves with elasticated waistbands and doggy bags. Sally's recent work for clients includes:- - All aspects of Employment Tribunal representation; - Settlement Agreement advice; - Assistance and advice with internal disciplinary procedures; - Assistance and advice regarding all types of discrimination, particularly disability discrimination; and, - Assistance and advice with internal performance management disputes.

Refreshing over-delivery during initial consult

Online reviews are not my thing but sometimes, we are compelled to shout from the rooftops. I left a message with the practise asking if Sally would mind giving me a call when next free, not really expecting to hear back until much later in the day. Sally returned my call within the hour and asked how she could help. After a brief to and fro of pertinent question posing and answering, Sally summarised the options available to me and made a number of suggestions for avenues that I could pursue and also how to do so. Sally promised me that once she had finished her client meeting, she would send me an email outlining everything that we discussed during our 20 minute phone call and provide relevant links to enable me to progress my case. My case was such that there were initial elements that I could achieve myself, without legal representation, and Sally was very transparent on this issue. If things didn't go to plan then she would be happy to act for me during subsequent phases but this was not necessary at this early stage. The long and very detailed email arrived within a couple of hours, as promised. Such a refreshing experience and a better, more shiny example of how a legal professional should behave would be very hard to find. Thank you, Sally. What a lady!

Factual, Direct, Client Focused

Sarah gave me her time to discuss and summarise the status and next steps in my case. I found the approach very personal and focused on the information and the legal status, pragmatic and direct, demonstrating her personal attention to the specific details.

Professional and understanding

I have used Sally at Lincs Law a few of times now, also Sophie. During these times, I have found them to be extremely understand and supportive. But also, to provide professional legal advice. They are certainly my go to solicitors for any employment law concerns.

I can’t recommend Sally enough! From the very start, she made me feel completely at ease discussing my employment questions, which can often feel intimidating or stressful. She’s incredibly relatable and approachable—she doesn’t just give legal advice, she explains everything in a way that makes sense, so you genuinely understand your options. Sally listened carefully to my situation, offered practical guidance, and always made sure I felt supported and informed at every step. Her expertise is clear, but what really sets her apart is how personable she is. I felt comfortable asking all my questions, no matter how small, and she never made me feel rushed or judged. Thanks to her help, I felt confident navigating my employment issues, and I genuinely felt like I had someone on my side who cared about my outcome. If you need a lawyer who is both highly skilled and incredibly easy to talk to, Sally is the one.

Should have called Sally sooner!

I cannot speak highly enough of Sally, she is calm, professional, clear and concise. She gave me perspective on a situation that I did not have which helped me to cope with a work situation both practically and mentally. I am hoping I won’t need to call Sally again, but I absolutely will if I need to.
