Before joining Higgs, I started my career with a niche insolvency firm in the heart of Birmingham, qualifying in 2010. I am fiercely passionate about getting results for my clients. As Principal Associate I specialises in a range of contentious insolvency matters and director disqualification to include; -Defending Director Disqualification claims. -Acting for Directors in respect of section 17 CDDA Permission to Act applications. -Acting for Insolvency Practitioners in respect of claims arising under the Insolvency Act 1986 (‘IA’) and the Companies Act 2006, including antecedent transaction claims, misfeasance claims, wrongful and fraudulent transaction claims and wider asset recovery. -Defending misfeasance and breach of duty claims brought by Liquidators. -Presenting and opposing applications for charging orders. -Presenting and opposing and order for sale and possession applications. -Presenting and opposing Statutory Demands and Bankruptcy Petitions. -Applications to annul the bankruptcy orders. -Pursuing and defending applications brought by Trustees pursuant to sections 339, 340, 366 and 423 IA.
