I instructed Higgs to deal with my divorce and finances as well as my child arrangements in November 2023, following separation from my husband in July 2023.
Even from my first initial meeting the family team, Philip Barnsley and Sioned Fitt particularly, demonstrated incredible legal knowledge and offered excellent support and guidance to assist me in dealing with these matters whilst experiencing ongoing domestic abuse from my husband, a family lawyer himself.
I felt they were very approachable and incredibly dedicated advocates, every email was answered quickly, every telephone call answered, always with sound strategic advice that not only helped progress my case but helped me manage my anxiety in such complex circumstances.
Their costing was very generous, particularly considering the complexity of my case and the level of input required.
I am very grateful to all of the Family Team and would recommend to anyone undergoing a divorce, child arrangements and especially those who have suffered domestic abuse. They are a team who will wholeheartedly advocate for you in times where you feel you can no longer do it alone.

We as a family first met Steve following a family member being involved in a serious accident. An initial meeting was set-up at our convenience and Steve arrived promptly. He was welcoming and very easy to talk to from the start which was exactly what was needed at the time. Contact going forward was arranged, again to suit us, nothing was an issue to him as long as we were happy.
All in all, at an awful time for us, Steve was very caring and at all times of contact his first question was to ask how everyone was.
Excellent service, would highly recommend to anyone.

As Executor to the estate of my late client, I was tasked with selling his property. Higgs Solicitor Sam McHugo was absolutley brilliant throughout the whole process. The buyers solicitors proved difficult to communicate with and promises of completion dates were missed on several occasions. However Sam persisted, kept us fully informed throughout. She deserves 5 starts and a 10/10.

Swapped to Higgs following a serious motorbike accident and realised that the solicitors I was advised to use by my insurance company just didn’t have specialised knowledge of bike accidents. I’m so glad I did, they were professional, courteous and polite throughout the whole process. Laura who handled my case was great, she kept me informed at all times, responded to emails and calls promptly and made the whole process a lot less stressful than it probably would have been. I would recommend any biker unfortunate enough to find themselves in this situation to pick the phone up and speak to them.
