I joined Higgs in December 2022 as a Partner in the Serious Injury Team. Prior to this, I was at Simpson Millar/Colemans-ctts for over 23 years where I successfully headed up the RTA Department from 2008. I am a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience of dealing with serious injuries which have resulted in life changing injuries. As I deal with clients who have suffered traumatic experience and life changing injuries, I develop a strong bond with them. I strongly believe in early rehabilitation and treatment to get my clients on the road to recovery. My expertise is in high value, catastrophic, life changing injuries and in particular complex orthopaedic injuries, spinal injury, fatalities, amputations and brain injury and have frequently secured multi-million pound settlements. I am a past chair and I am currently vice chair and a Director of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS). I am concerned with protecting and maintaining the interests of people injured in road collisions and I fight to ensure access to justice. I am regularly asked to consult with the Ministry of Justice and other stakeholders on procedural and legislative changes which impact on those injured in road collisions. Through my work with MASS, I have attended regular meetings with the Justice Secretary, MPs and civil servants. In addition, I have written a number of publications and lectured at a number of conferences, on the radio and I have also been a judge at a number of Personal injury awards ceremonies.

I would definitely recommended Higgs, who dealt with my personal injury claim after my road traffic accident (hit & run, unknown driver) Simon Stanfield (my solicitor) and his legal assistant Alison Rowlands are both super friendly, professional, very helpful, and both communicated fantastically with me during my claim. I was always kept in the loop of where my case was at, as the Motor Insurance bureau (MIB) are not the most responsive, but Simon & Alison constantly updated me of where my claim was at, or what step I needed to take next.     i got into a rtc in the july of 2023 and simon was absolutely amazing! i never had to lift a finger and he always made sure that i was okay and everything that i needed was booked for me. we made the experience of the last 3 years such a blissful time for me and my family. i would highly recommend him
