Philip assisted me in my international divorce specifically on the disposal of our UK property which had complicated ties to other family members and the handling of our UK pension in the division of assets. He liased with my Canadian counsel ensuring the Canadian court order enforced the steps needed to settle matters in the UK. He made sure I received a fair amount and was ingenious in avoiding long delays by coming up with clever trade-offs. I cannot recommend Philip highly enough. There were several unpleasant emails and each time Philip took the high road without missing a beat and clearly maintained the dignity and standards that really can only be described as upright (not a word we use much these days). His integrity, professionalism, kindness, intelligence and capabilities are unmatched in my life experience. Working with him is an honour. He is effective and adept in his arena. Never did I expect to trust a solicitor and to hold him in such high esteem. Thank you to Philip and Higgs for helping me to get on my feet following illness, a long and protracted divorce with so many complications. He made it easy for me every step of the way and made it very easy for me to make the decisions necessary. I cannot fault him.

My experience with Higgs LLP was very professional at all times and they have a very good knowledge of the process, they were very conscious on going through the divorce proceedings and very understanding when times are difficult between the parties. Jodie was very understanding even when I was having a 'moment' and always explained things so I was able to understand them (Solicitors use big words that I don't understand!) The only grumble I would have is the overall cost as this was excessive, however I did not help this by my own doings delaying the process, I'm sure if I had sat down before and thought everything through I would of saved costs in the long run. However I am would highly recommend Phil and Jodie for any 'family' issues in the future as they were polite professional and helpful when required.
