I needed to update my Will (originally produced by Higgs several years ago), to reflect my changing circumstances. The work was carried out by Scott Vanes, who proved to be not only very knowledgeable, but also willing to spend time discussing precisely what outcomes I was trying to achieve. After a couple of constructive iterations, we ended up with what I consider to be an excellent solution.

This we had to apply for probate on the estate of my late mother. Having seen the reports in the press about how long it could take weren't particularly optimistic. After thinking about doing it online we decided to go with a solicitor and chose Higgs as they had dealt with the wills of my parents.
We are really pleased how simply, effortlessly and smoothly they handled it. We had one meeting with the solicitor, Wendy Eaves, and application was acknowledged early March and we now have received grant today (5/4/2024). It was a fixed price fee and we were pleased and impressed with the service.

Swapped to Higgs following a serious motorbike accident and realised that the solicitors I was advised to use by my insurance company just didn’t have specialised knowledge of bike accidents. I’m so glad I did, they were professional, courteous and polite throughout the whole process. Laura who handled my case was great, she kept me informed at all times, responded to emails and calls promptly and made the whole process a lot less stressful than it probably would have been. I would recommend any biker unfortunate enough to find themselves in this situation to pick the phone up and speak to them.
