Fantastic Company
Howells provided fantastic guidance through the legal system during the most difficult of times for our family. Amy was very empathetic and always proactive in everything she did. Professional, Friendly, First-class service
From the moment we contacted Howells, the team were very responsive and accommodating of the assistance we needed and they supported us through both the inquest and case. They were always being proactive and constantly chasing the defendant to provide us with updates regularly (so much so that we spoke to her more than our own family!) Amazing service
I went to Howells for some advice and be represented regarding my Husbands inquest and had a meeting with Amy. Child Clinical Negligence Case
I was put in touch with Amy by the Charity “Inquest” following the death of my 17 year old son. Amy and her team provided the much needed technical/legal knowledge required to get through the inquest process, and the following clinical negligence case with professionalism and determination. Skills that ensured we gained justice for my baby, but also, made sure changes were made on a policy, practice and system level to try and prevent the needless loss of someone else child.
What I wasn’t expecting through this process was the very human and empathetic support Amy provided. As a mum, like most parents, I saw it was my responsibility to protect my child from this cruel world. Amy listened calmly as I cried and spoke about the guilt, blame and shame I felt, and reminded me of the many, many failings that were made by institutions set up to treat people. How, no parent in the world, is a medical doctor, teacher, therapist, lawyer, policy maker - this is why we have statutory services. I did everything I could, within my gift, my son did not receive the treatment he needed.
As I end my clinical negligence journey I come out of it with answers, justice, change and far, far more healing than I thought possible. While I know I have a long way to go I can see a future when I can thrive whilst also carrying profound traumatic loss.

Inquest obo
My son took his life in the care of care givers, mistakes were made to the lead up of his death. Howells represented my family during the inquest and after. They were compassionate, professional, and cared for my family through out this devastating time. I can only say thank you to the whole team that represented us though out.

Inquest
I would definitely recommend Amy for any families faced with the Inquest of a loved one. I have had such a difficult grief journey already, trying to cope with the tragic and sudden loss of my son knowing that an inquest was going to be held as well just made everything even more daunting. As soon as I contacted Howells Amy and her team were quick to respond and Amy was proactive at finding me help with the upcoming inquest and advice on any legal matters I was unsure about. Her advice is clear and easy to follow. Most importantly Amy has been so compassionate and caring throughout this difficult time which has really helped me to deal with the process. I would recommend Howells and Amy for any family who need advice if they are in a similar situation.
