Ann qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 1999, and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive Litigator in 2026, having already gained over 10 years’ experience in criminal law. Ann is fully Police Station Accredited and she has represented clients detained in police custody throughout South Yorkshire and beyond. Ann joined Howells' Criminal Defence department in 2002 and has over 20 years’ experience in the litigation and preparation of Crown Court cases. She deals with all cases ranging from committals to the Crown Court for sentence through to serious drug offences, murder and matters dealt with under the Proceeds of Crime Act. She has an enviable track record of acquittals due to her fastidious approach to her work.     Professional service from start to completion

    Being accused of a criminal offence was the last thing I thought would prompt me to use the services of Ann Ridge and Howells Solicitors, however back in 2022 that is exactly what happened. From the very first contact, until the conclusion of my case some years later I can only describe the service offered as high class and professional.     I cannot recommend Ann and Chris highly enough.
