I’m an Associate Legal Executive specialising in all areas of private family law, including but not limited to divorce, financial resolution, child arrangements and cohabitation issues. I joined Morecrofts in April 2022 and am based in the Prescot and Woolton offices, and am also regularly instructed by clients from all surrounding areas in South Liverpool, Knowsley and Halton. I am also more than happy to meet with clients at any of our offices if required. I also offer telephone or video appointments if more convenient for you. I am passionate about family law and feel that it is important that when a client is experiencing one of the most difficult times in their life, that they are listened to, supported and given the correct legal advice to try to make a stressful time as easy as possible. I have an approachable and pragmatic approach and am regularly commended by clients for being straightforward and clear in my advice.

Grandparents live with
I went to Liz to get advice about my grandson wanting to come live with me, Liz & her team explained everything about what would or could happen, Liz was very professional from start to finish & also very understanding of our circumstances, my grandson now has a permanent live with order which means he will be able to live with me until he’s 18, thanks to Liz & her team xx

Transparent, professional and friendly service.
Having met with Liz for an initial chat. I was immediately reassured and put at ease. I feel Liz's friendly approach combined with a wealth of experience was extremely helpful and reassuring. Throughout the whole process, Liz kept me up dated on proceedings and was available to chat if needed. I would certainly recommend Liz for anyone requiring legal advice around family law.

Excellent Result
I've worked with Morecrofts since I first met Crawford Davidson way back in the 80's. I've always found the company ethics of hard work, intelligence, experience and knowledge to be a major driving force behind the hiring of new staff. And recently I was blessed with the guidance of a very bright, very sharp young legal brain who would make Crawford proud with her workrate and legal skills. Liz Potter surprised me with the speed she found a resolution to my problem. She made it seem effortless, but the facts are that she has a depth of knowledge,an understanding of my needs, a network of resources I clearly never knew existed and the self discipline to take this case home with her and come up with a solution that I never thought was possible. I never felt any stress, I always felt her confidence in finding a solution was always right there within her grasp, and her positivity rubbed off on me. Liz was never in any doubt in her ability to bring a resolution to the problem, but the fact that she worked on it so hard and solved it so quickly surprised even an old cynic like me. I'll never be able to thank her enough, she was magnificent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(+) FIVE STAR (PLUS)

Great solicitor
Liz is a brilliant solicitor and gave me great advice. She made me feel comfortable and explained what next steps I should take. She is very professional and made me feel confident I was doing what was in the best interest for my children. My letter come through a lot faster than I was expecting.
Morecrofts kept me up to date and replied very fast to any questions I had. Thanks to Liz my problem is now sorted.
I would not hesitate to use Liz again in the future.

Divorce Advice
Contacted Liz on a recommendation from a friend who advised them with divorce proceedings. Excellent recommendation totally put my mind at ease ahead of what was possible the most stressful situation I found myself in with regards to my family break up. Excellent service would highly recommend to anyone in my situation in the future.
