Having studied law at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University, she qualified as an Avocat au Barreau de Paris in 1996. She worked for two of France’s leading law firms, Stibbe Simont Monahan Duhot & Giroux (now Latham & Watkins) and Moquet Borde et Associés (now Paul Hastings) before moving to the United Kingdom in 2002, where she acted as a legal advisor for the London-based property company, VEF. Marie Antoinette joined Kingsfords in January 2006 and runs the French Property Department with her bilingual assistant, Renée Hopper. She has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of private client, property and transactional-related matters for both English and overseas clients and is a fluent French, English and Italian speaker. Excellent Help in Selling our French Property
We have recently sold our apartment in a French city and asked Kingsfords to provide legal support from the UK. We already knew something about the process, but needed the reassurance of expert advice to oversee the transaction. A first class service from knowledgeable and approachable professional
From our very first exploratory telephone call with Renee Hopper regarding the sale of our French property I felt confident that our needs were clearly understood and acknowledged. The help and guidance that we received from Mme Bassini and Ms Hopper left nothing to to chance with no assumptions being made about what we did or did not understand. Thanks to their willingness and expertise in communicating with the relevant officials, notaires, estate agents etc in France as well as organising the Power of Attorney the process was as stress-free for us as it could possibly be and for which we are eternally grateful.
