Kennedy Langley
Solicitor
After joining the Firm as a Trainee, Kennedy is now a Solicitor within the Firm’s Family Division and based at our Kidderminster office. Kennedy is a solicitor within the Firm’s family division and advises clients on a broad range of family matters including divorce, finances and private children matters. Kennedy obtained her First Class Law degree from the University of Nottingham in 2019 where she won the John Hooper & Co award for academic excellence in Family Law. She went on to achieve a Distinction in her LPC LLM at the University of Law in Birmingham before joining the Firm as Trainee in 2020. Kennedy advises clients on a full range of issues arising out of divorce and separation. These include financial settlements and arrangements for children – such as where a child should live, the time spent with the other parent and issues of parental responsibility. Kennedy has also acted in matters concerning contact arrangements for disabled, adult children and complex matters involving allegations of domestic abuse. Kennedy also supports clients in respect of domestic violence injunctions under the Family Law Act. Each client is dealing with a unique set of circumstances and has different aims and objectives. Kennedy provides practical advice helping clients find the best solution in a proportionate and cost-effective way. While litigation is sometimes necessary, Kennedy recognises that it is often beneficial to both sides to reach a negotiated settlement through alternative routes and works to settle cases outside of court where possible.
