ReviewSolicitors Suitability Check
How the Suitability Check works
The ReviewSolicitors Suitability Check is designed to help you understand whether a law firm may be suitable
for your legal matter and to support you in deciding what to do next.
It brings together information from publicly available sources, regulatory data, and verified client reviews
and ratings to make it easier to compare law firms and connect with a solicitor who may be suited to your needs.
ReviewSolicitors works with thousands of law firms across the UK, many of whom actively collect client reviews
through our platform. We aim to make it as simple and seamless as possible for you to find, compare, and connect
with a law firm that may be able to help with your matter.
However, the information shown here is based on data that is updated periodically. Solicitors can move between
law firms, law firms may change the areas of law they offer, and capacity to take on new client matters can vary
over time.
Checks on whether a law firm is accepting new clients are carried out on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending
on the information available to us. While this helps keep information up to date, we cannot guarantee that all
details will always be accurate at the time you view them.
In some cases, a law firm may appear as “Not accepting new clients through ReviewSolicitors” because they are not
actively engaged with us or have not confirmed their availability. They may still be accepting new clients
directly, and if you are unsure, it is always best to contact the law firm directly to confirm their expertise,
availability, and whether they have the capacity to handle your matter.
This rating is based on verified client feedback and compares how this firm’s value for money is perceived against the national average. In legal services, value for money is not about being the cheapest option, but about whether clients feel the service, expertise, and outcome justified the cost. This comparison helps place client experiences in context when choosing a law firm.

About this score
This rating is based on client feedback and compares how satisfied people were with the result of their legal matter against the national average for similar legal services. While every case is different and outcomes can depend on the law, the facts, and decisions made by courts or tribunals, this comparison is designed to be like for like.
When a firm has a large number of reviews, individual case differences tend to balance out over time. This makes the national average a useful benchmark for understanding how often clients feel the result achieved was fair and appropriate for their situation. Even small differences from the average can therefore reflect a meaningful difference in the overall standard of legal service provided.

About this score
This score shows how likely clients are to recommend this law firm to friends or family, based on verified reviews and compared with the national average. In legal matters, recommendations are usually based on trust, clarity of advice, and how supported clients felt throughout their case. This comparison helps show how consistently a firm meets those expectations.
I have to write this again because I did want to make sure I had covered Liam Jackson
My experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I say this with complete sincerity and no personal connection to anyone in the firm. The level of service I received was outstanding, characterised by a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that immediately filled me with confidence. Far from encountering the stereotypical "money-grabbing lawyers," I was met with professionalism and genuine care for my situation.
My case was a complicated, multifaceted motoring offence with a potential for a custodial sentence—a daunting prospect, to say the least. I had the pleasure of Liam Jackson who displayed a depth of knowledge and expertise that truly exceeded my expectations. To simply say they knew what he was talking about would be an understatement; his strategic approach on the case was evident in every interaction.
Thanks to the diligent efforts of Liam, Keith,My life has returned to its normal course—whatever "normal" may now mean. Words cannot fully express my gratitude for their support and dedication. I will be forever grateful to this firm for their exceptional service and highly recommend them to anyone in need of legal assistance.
Liam has represented my partner in an assault case and has been brilliant throughout. He’s very professional, honest and tells it to you straight. He’s always on the end of the phone if you need him and keeps in touch with you throughout your case. Hopefully we will never need Liam again but if we did he would be the first person we would call.
I have been dealing with Liam Hassan during an ongoing driving case. He has been extremely honest, knowledgeable and polite during the process and responded to all my emails in a timely manner. Cannot recommend enough.
I would wholeheartedly recommend M&A solicitors to anyone requiring legal representation. In September 2021 I found myself in receipt of a notice of intended prosecution for driving without due care and attention. Unfortunately, the CPS then took it upon themselves to raise that allegation to dangerous driving - a criminal offence that carries a mandatory disqualification from driving for at least a year, followed by an extended driving retest and the possibility of a prison sentence. Upon receiving my summons to Magistrates Court in July 2022 the local solicitors I had been dealing with in Lancaster refused to continue representing me, as the case hearings were being held in York and they refused to travel. I contacted M&A solicitors, who happily took on my case and were very thorough in explaining the next steps. I met Liam Hassan at Magistrates Court, and was incredibly impressed by his knowledge of driving offences, his calm manner, his honesty about the strengths and weaknesses of my case, along with his empathy and understanding of my anxieties. Following extensive discussion with Liam I entered a plea of not guilty and elected for the case to be dealt with at York Crown Court. At Crown Court I entered a plea of guilty to careless driving, but not guilty to dangerous driving - but the CPS would not accept my careless plea, and therefore a trial date was set for April 2023. Throughout the long and stressful wait for trial Liam and Jess at M&A were nothing short of exceptional. Liam appointed an incredibly knowledgeable and supportive barrister for me (special shout out to Charlotte Noddings!), arranged frequent conferences via video link, and always kept me updated. No question was ever too small, or too stupid, for him to respond to promptly and diligently. Despite me being emotionally broken, terrified of a trial, and enormously distressed at the very real possibility of losing my driving licence, Liam and Charlotte went above and beyond all expectations to put special measures into place to support me at trial, and in preparing me for trial. At my lowest ebb, when I’d all but lost hope, faith and belief in myself, and lost complete faith in the criminal justice system, Liam and the team at M&A carried that hope for me and continued to fight my case tirelessly, right up to the nail-biting conclusion! Thanks to the persistence of my barrister, Charlotte, the CPS eventually withdrew the dangerous driving allegation against me the day before my trial was due to start. Instead I was sentenced for careless driving, which I had already entered an early plea of guilty to. I received 5 penalty points, a £250 fine, and I’ve never been happier and more surprised in my life!! An amazing result!! As will be the situation for many people, my driving licence is imperative for maintaining my independence and freedom due to living in a very rural location and suffering from multiple complex health issues. I’ll never be able to thank Liam, my barrister Charlotte, and all at M&A, enough for their hard work in recognising that, and most importantly - for protecting my driving licence and keeping me on the road. M&A solicitors managed to secure the absolute BEST possible outcome for me. I am beyond grateful and would 100% recommend them. If you’re ever in need of solicitors who will deal with your case professionally, efficiently, sensitively and with a small helping of good humour to put you at ease, you really won’t go wrong instructing M&A solicitors!
Thanks Liam, Jess and Claire 😊

Brilliant solicitors initially I spoke to Adam Henry who was very helpful, Liam Hassan represented me in court over a speeding issue , fantastic outcome I couldn’t recommend them more very professional 😊 will definitely recommend to others
On behalf of my family, I cannot recommend M&A Solicitors highly enough. We accepted Damien Morrison as the Duty Solicitor and thank goodness he was there. In those initial few days Damien was wonderful in supporting us all, but also being open, honest and straight talking in his advice. The case was passed over to Liam Hassan, and wow, Liam – THANK YOU! Liam got my family the best possible outcome for the case at Crown Court, I would go as so far as to say this man can perform miracles. Liam is everything you want in a person you are working with (and it did feel like that) – open and timely communication without complex or fuss, honesty, humility and just what you need in a solicitor - impeccable knowledge of the legal system and the ability to build a case. On behalf of me and the family – thank you. If you are looking for a Solicitor, M&A is who you should choose.
Following the recommendation of a well-known local solicitor a friend and I recently engaged Liam Hassan to help with 'one-to-many' speeding tickets which threatened the lively hood of my friend .We were both very impressed with Liam's attitude. He was very efficient, knowing all the pitfalls that can occur when dealing with the magistrate’s court . He took the time to explain everything and was easily available to speak to whenever we had any queries . He completed all the necessary tasks in good time and we did not have be concerned that something might go amiss as he had all in hand. He was supportive on the day explaining the course of events and what would be expected of my friend so she could prepare .He understood all the anxieties that people might have who have not had dealings with this sort of thing at all and he at no time became frustrated by questions . I would have complete confidence to recommend him to anyone who needs a knowledgeable solicitor to guide and advise through every step of the way with what is an intimidating experience. The outcome needless to say was such that my friend has continued to work and this is thanks to Liam as we would not have had a clue what to offer in mitigation or to expect with out his guidance
