Phulah is an Associate Solicitor and head of the Immigration team. He has extensive expertise in asylum claims, immigration and deportation cases. He has a high success rate in cases at both tribunal stage and in judicial review proceedings and appeals to the Court of Session. Phulah and his team deal regularly with individuals seeking asylum, helping them to navigate the complex process, representing them at tribunal, and if needed, instructing counsel at the highest court in Scotland. He has a track record of bringing families back together through immigration cases, where applications are made for spouses or children. He has many happy clients, with whom he has built trusted relationships. Phulah also has a high success rate in deportation cases, which are often time-pressured and highly complex. The Immigration team are in regular dialogue with the Home Office and are committed to keeping clients up to date with every step of the process. Phulah is a key part of the successful team which led to Jones Whyte winning both the Scottish Legal Awards and Law Awards of Scotland ‘Firm of the Year’ in 2021 and to its continuing success as one of Scotland’s fastest growing law firms.
