We have used Melanie Bridgens service's on 2 seperate occasions. Both with the best outcome we could have asked for with regards our children. Melanie is very informative, listens and understood our position. She is knowledgeable and explained where we stood in a way we could understand. We would definitely recommend Melanie and if we find oursleves in the unfortunate position of needing a solicitor for our children again Melanie would be our 1st point of call. Thank you Melanie.

I contacted Nelson’s on the recommendation of another client and was allocated Melanie Brigden. After the initial consultation I was more than confident that Melanie and of course Melanie 2 could handle this somewhat difficult case! Initially I went with a child arrangement order which both parents objected to but Melanie soon dealt with their objections and the order was given … I went for an SGO order as well and although it’s wasn’t granted didn’t feel it was anything to do with the lack of attention to detail by Melanie her hands were tied by social worker recommendation. This still didn’t stop Melanie pushing in court for the best outcome possible on the day .. I am totally happy my granddaughter gets to grow up in a safe , loving and stable future. I would recommend the two Melanie’s and employ them again in a minute .

I contacted Melanie Bridgen from Nelsons Solicitors in Derby for advice in child arrangement. Her knowledge was more than I could ask for. She helped me through every concern I had and with her colleague Melanie Theakstone put together my wishes, contacted my ex, made sure that everything I legally wanted it was written down as clear for the court application as possible. They followed my case through CAFCASS and the final court order. Mrs. Bridgen had straight questions, and answers to everything. They took the process of my shoulder, and in 2 months I have received the final order from court (with Christmas included). I cannot be more thankful for their job and knowledge.
