Emily has completed her Law with Criminal Justice studies at Plymouth University in 2022. Emily was voted student representative for two years running, which provided her with the skills to communicate effectively and to adapt her leadership competence. Emily took an interest in her Human Rights and Equality modules and was keen to secure a career based around aiding others. Emily currently has an active role volunteering as an appropriate adult, supporting those who are vulnerable during a challenging time of their lives. From her degree and volunteer work, Emily has strengthened her analytical abilities and reasoning, which has provided Emily the tools needed to practise Law effectively. Emily was previously one of our Med-Law students from 2021 to 2022, undertaking a supervised work placement in our Medical Negligence department. From this experience, Emily gained an inside perspective into Medical Law and developed a strong interest in working and supporting clients and their family throughout the process of their claim. Emily assists Holly Bowditch and Simon Parford, dealing with catastrophic injury cases. Outside the workplace, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends and family, scuba-diving, travelling, and participating in charity events.
