Helpful advice - Eventually!
Whilst we are satisfied with the information and assistance we eventually received in resolving issues relating to our late father's Will Trust it was very frustrating that it took five months for Mr Sheppard to advise on the matter. Progress only ever seemed to happen after repeated phone calls and emails to chase things up and it was two months before we even received the Terms of Engagement documentation and ID check links. Meanwhile money due to the Trustees was stuck in a client account with another solicitor and losing value. The careless and distressing errors in the file closure letter, getting our father's surname wrong and addressing one of the Trustees by our deceased father's initials, as well as addressing the letter to the male trustee when all previous correspondence and contact had been with the (female) lead trustee is indicative of the casual attitude with which we feel the matter was treated. On this basis, I regret that we will not be using Gibsons again and feel unable to recommend the firm.
