I was introduced to Owens Solicitors via the Wills Aid Scheme 2020. All requests were dealt with promptly and efficiently and the matter was so stressed-free. Mrs Oni-Williams and her Assistant were brilliant despite us not being able to meet face to face as a result of Covid 19 and being in lockdown 2020. Owens Solicitors give their time "free of costs" under this Scheme - all you do is to agree to give a "small cash gift" to any participating charity of your choice. Highly recommended!

My experience with Owen’s Solicitors was extremely disappointing. The billing structure was unclear throughout my case. I did not receive regular monthly invoices, and over several months I only received one or two invoices, making it impossible to properly track costs as they accumulated. I was also charged for every telephone call, and for time spent reviewing, correcting, and amending work that I had to point out contained errors before it was sent on. I frequently had to double-check and correct documents prepared by the solicitor acting on my case, which added further time, stress, and cost to the proceedings. I was also charged approximately £800 for a D11 application. In my experience, the advice to proceed with this application did not make any difference to the outcome of my case, and it resulted in additional cost without any practical benefit to the proceedings. On several occasions, I was required to make urgent payments at very short notice in order for work to continue, including shortly before an important scheduled call with a barrister, which created unnecessary pressure during an already difficult legal process. After changing solicitors, I instructed Clerks of Telford. The difference in service was significant, particularly in clarity, communication, cost structure, and professionalism. In relation to my court preparation, Owen’s Solicitors responded to counsel despite no longer acting for me, which contributed to me losing the ability to retain a barrister I had previously instructed for my final hearing. I found this extremely upsetting and felt it placed me at a disadvantage at a critical stage of my case. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the service and would not recommend.

I first had contact with Yomi through my partner who had been using Yomi in his divorce and child arrangements case, when she helped me through my divorce. I then had the need for Yomi's services again through the pandemic when my ex husband withheld my children. Yomi was supportive and helped me through the most difficult of times always giving me advice and explaining each step for me so that I knew exactly what was happening. My case was won and my family are now moving forward, with thanks to Yomi. We still use Yomi's services as necessary and will continue to do so for as long as we need to. I can not Thank, nor recommend, Yomi enough.

I too met Mrs Williams through citizens advice years before my court proceedings started. I then went to a solicitors firm that appeared on national tv, I had high hopes this would be the firm to help me as I’m a father who has been alienated from my children and the matter in hand was to sell the family home, considering I had not resided in for the past 10 years but was paying the full mortgage. The original firm I chose were not compassionate to my issues it was all about money for them. They offered no help I wasted money for nothing. I finally found Yomi again and it was the best thing to happen my case was won within 3 months of finding Yomi ; she was very compassionate she sympathised with me she broke down every decision so I could understand, communication was spot on, she would contact me straight away, once I got in contact. there was no hidden charges. Yomi and her team totally changed my life and I highly recommend anyone to choose Owens solicitor firm. I found also as I was the father In my court issue, I was never taken seriously by previous professionals it seemed there was no rights for fathers, but owens solicitors changed that for me, they stood firmly by my side. I urge anyone especially fathers that feel they have no say, to seek advice from Owens solicitors. They will change, help and resolve any ongoing issues, with dignity and leave you feeling proud that you found them. MR TEDDER
